GSPDAGroup Sense PDA Limited (GSPDA), the flagship of its parent company Group Sense (International) Limited (GSL, public listed in HKSE #601) for PDA business, was established in 2000 in Hong Kong.

GSPDA is set up for the design, manufacturing and sales of personal Digital Assistant (PDA) products. GSPDA offers full range PDA product such as entry-level PDA, Wireless-Internet-Accessible PDA and Palm OS Smartphone.

In September 2001, GSPDA rolled out the world's first Chinese-based PDA-phone converged product model e938 that features open OS architecture and full-range communication functions including voice, fax, e-mails, WAP and SMS.

With the continuous effort in marketing and sales, GSPDA earned the number one place in market share (more than 30%) of PDA market in PRC by Q4 of 2003 (according to "Sino" research).

GSPDA signed up with PalmSource to license Palm OS for its Smartphone product series in December 2002. Within 8 months of development time, GSPDA launched its first Palm Powered Smartphone "Xplore G18" successfully. Quoting the words from Mr David Nagel, CEO of Palmsource: "G18 is the smallest Palm Powered Smarphone in the world and GSPDA finished the development faster than all the palm OS licensees did before".

The Xplore G18 has aroused attention and interest of Telecommunication Service Providers through its user-friendly interface, small size and attractive outlook. The G18 was approved by operators: GSL in Hong Kong, TA Orange in Thailand. Various operators in Europe are now testing the G18 and prepare for launching shortly.

The Company has full product range to fulfill different price points in the marketplace. In response to the increasing demand for multimedia and wireless applications, GSPDA has launched a series of innovative products in 2002 with colour screen, built-in digital camera, digital voice recording and embedded Bluetooth chips. The Company also has products running on the Linux OS.

GSPDA has more than 200 engineers working in Hong Kong, mainland China and Singapore. With the strong R&D capability, GSPDA will continuously invest in new technology and roll out highly differentiated Smartphone product every quarters to meet the need of customers.
