Hardware Recommendation to avoid Noise, Glitch Sound !!!
VGA |
PCI VGA card could affect DMA bus mastering and this could cause glitch or sound drop. So we recommend you to use AGP VGA card to avoid this problem .
HDD |
Some old Hard disks that do not support "DMA" option could generate glitch or sound drop. We recommend you to use "Ultra DMA 33 or 66" hard disks for safe hard disk recording.
Mother Board |
Non-Intel chipset
installed in some motherboards, such as VIA chipset, could generate glitch
or sound drop. We recommend you to use mother boards with
Intel chipset. ( CPU type is
not related to this problem. Any CPU type is safe for
audio in / out ) For example, if you are suffering from glitch or sound drop, especially, when the glitch occurs in syncronization with hard disk LED signals, the problem is caused mainly by mother boards not hard disks. |
|
Important Notes !! | ||
Auto |
If not required, Auto Frequency button on Wami Rack 24 Control Desk should be set always. This means that if auto is enabled then frequency will follow driver's setup ( ASIO, EASI, MME, GIGA .. ). Otherwise, if Auto is not enabled, frequency will be fixed as selected value in control desk and drivers can not control to wanted frequency and can hear very slow or very fast sound.
IRQ |
IRQ share can be achived by software driver. And Wami Rack 24 driver has been programmed to support this shareing feature. But some other drivers ( vga, usb... ) are not properly programmed to share IRQ so you cannot hear audio from Wami Rack 24 when same IRQ# was used for both devices. In this case you should change PCI slot location of Wami Rack 24 to avoid this conflicts.
DMA |
IDE hard disk option in System folder- "DMA' must to be enabled for clean audio. Otherwise, you may could hear glitch for sometimes.
How to Update Driver ? | ||
1. |
Please Run InfClear.exe. This will clear Ego Sys's old driver information from Driver's Database. Without this, you cannot find new hardware nor update driver.
2. |
After run InfClear, you
can do one of following steps 1. Please select Driver update from System->Driver->WaveTermial2496 or 2. Please select Refresh from System->Driver or 3. ReStart Win95/98 to find new hardware. To take effect new control desk, we recommend to use step 3. |
