PDSYMS v1.0 is an Architectural/Interiors Symbols Library for pre-R14 AutoCAD
and AutoCAD LT, VISIO, TurboCAD, GenericCADD, DataCAD, AutoSketch, QuickCADD,
Microstation, CADvance, VisualCADD, LinuxCAD, FreeDraft, and any other 2D
CADD package that can read DXF Files. It is designed to add a whole
collection of symbols, and enhancements, to the Basic CADD package you are
using, and the ones your consultants are using.
Created for Office environments that use various CADD applications, and for
the independent contractor that needs to work with established CADD standards
of partner firms, and for all non-AutoCAD users, our Symbols/Blocks are not
created from proprietary custom objects, do not lock you into our company
products, or your CADD package, and do not lock all of your consultants out.
We use core AutoCAD Entities and routines based on and in AutoCAD, and safely
translated to AutoCAD R12 DXF format that is universally accepted by almost
all applications worldwide.

The package
includes:
- An entire Architectural Symbols library of over 2000 blocks organized by
type, either by Folder or by Name;
- An HTML based Help file that is hyperlinked to give you instant and direct
access;
- All blocks are created on Layer 0, with Color and Linetype set to ByBlock:
this allows you to determine what Layer, Color and Linetype you want when
inserting blocks. All blocks are created full size, not scaled.
- Categories include: Accessibility (with templates), Details (casework and construction
details), Equipment (Office, Kitchen, Misc., Elevations), Furniture, MEP
(Mechanical, Electrical, Lighting and Plumbing), Notations and Tags, and Site
work.
Two types
available for purchase:
- Type One is sorted by Symbols name, with a prefix for each category.
Otherwise, all Symbols/Blocks are in a single folder for your use.
- Type Two is sorted by sub-folders, each containing only the Symbols/Blocks
for that category.

Installation
is easy, but very much manual: run the installer program to install the
library onto your hard drive, and then follow the instructions of your CADD
package on accessing the Symbols Library.

Evaluation
and Registration
This is
not free software. You are hereby licensed to use this software for
evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 30 days. If you use this
software after the 30 day evaluation period a registration fee is required.
When payment is received you will be given an authorization code and sent a
registered copy of the latest version of PenDean Tools. Unregistered use of
PenDean Tools after the 30-day evaluation period is in violation of U.S. and
international copyright laws.
Distribution
You
are hereby licensed to make as many copies of this software and documentation
as you wish; give exact copies of the original version to anyone; and
distribute the software and documentation in its unmodified form via
electronic means provided that you do not release any authorization code.
There is no charge for any of the above. You are specifically prohibited from
charging, or requesting donations, for any such copies, however made; and
from distributing the software and/or documentation with other products
(commercial or otherwise) without prior written permission.
Registered
Version:
One
registered copy of PenDean Tools may either be used by a single person who
uses the software personally on one or more computers, or installed on a
single workstation used non-simultaneously by multiple people, but not both.
You may access the registered version of PenDean Tools through a network,
provided that you have obtained individual licenses for the software covering
all workstations that will access the software through the network. This
number should match the number of copies of CADD packages that you own.

Law
This
agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
